Description
This is the famous Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, an award-winning rendition of the Imperial Stout style once made exclusively for Catherine the Great. Brooklyn use three mashes to brew each batch of this beer, achieving a luscious deep dark chocolate flavor through a blend of specialty roasted malts. They brew it every year for the winter season. It is delicious when newly bottled, but also ages beautifully for years.
10% ABV. Outstanding beer, one of the best imperial stouts around. Color is dark black with a small dark brown head. Taste is dominated by chocolate and caramel malts. Some minor bitterness, very heavy body. It almost tastes like drinking a chocolate bar. Absolutely delicious.
Black Chocolate is made with a blend of six black, chocolate, and roasted malt varieties – the result is a ridiculously delicious beer that evolves and improves as you drink it. The taste is mellow with a hint of vanilla, dark chocolate, and caramel. Forget the winter seasonality, Black Chocolate Stout is a perfect year round beer by itself or just as outstanding paired with cheese or desert.
Great as a dessert in itself, Brooklyn Black Chocolate stout pairs best with desserts - both to compliment chocolate desserts but can also act as a fantastic contrast to dark fruit desserts. This beer can also be paired succesfully with strong cheeses such as stilton or cheshire.
