An American pale hefeweizen in the style of a Belgian wheat beer, brewerd by the Michigan Brewing Company.  Pierre Celis created the original Hoegaarden beer in the 1960's and after being bought out by Interbrew he started brewing Celis White.  Similar to the original Hoegaarden recipe this beer is brewed with corriander seed and orange peel for a light refreshing taste.  This beer has a naturally cloudy haze and a deep foaming head. It is top fermented and brewed from 50% raw winter wheat and 50% 2-Row malt, hopped with Willamette and EKG hops.  Its sweetness balances many spicy foods and is especially good with fruits, salads, delicate sauces, fish and poultry, or as an aperitif.

Celis Beers were developed by internationally renowned Belgian Brewmaster Pierre Celis.  In the late 20th century, Pierre, who had spent his life brewing in his native Hoegaarden, Belgium, opened a brewery in Austin, Texas and brought Celis to America.  Today, with commitment from Michigan Brewing Company, an award winning craft brewery, Celis Beers are once again being poured by happy connoisseurs.
