Description
A brown ale, or pater noster. 7.5%. The beers of Corsendonk, of which there are two were created in 1982.
Corsendonk is an Abbey of some history, a Dominican priory since 1300, rebuilt in the seventeenth century and currently used as a conference centre.
Corsendonk Pater is brewed for the abbey by Du Bocq and is their tripel style beer.
Dried cherries and alcohol infused plum are the standouts in this moderately fruity Dubbel. Additional flavours (and aromas) of banana, fermented or baked apple (very much like apple cider) and brown sugar. A small amount of clove and black pepper balance out the sweetness. Average flavour duration, moderately sweet.
