BREW CREW

Pete Roberts

Pete Roberts is a graduate of Brewlab at Sunderland University which is the nation’s premier school for the craft brewing industry. He also holds the cellar management qualification ‘The Award in Beer & Cellar Quality’, which is awarded by the British Institute of Inn Keeping.

Pete is seriously committed to authentic, traditional brewing practices and the perfection of beer. We believe that by having a quality brewer in charge we get outstanding quality beers.

“There are four main considerations when making good beer” says Pete.

“They are Quality, Consistency, Character and Flavour. Those brewers who strive for only quality and consistency to support high volume production methods (we all know who they are) produce lifeless flavourless beer. Those who concentrate on character and flavour produce something special for the beer drinker. I aim to produce something special in all my beers which is superior to mass produced brands whilst the process I use means the drinker gets a consistently good pint”
