Description
Maredsous 8 33cl 8%
In 1963, Moortgat began brewing its Maredsous line of abbey beers, under license of the monks of Maredsous Abbey
It has a gentle aroma of sweet, roasted malts with hints of cherries.
The flavour is rather complex; the initial taste is of roasted, burnt chocolate malts, which is followed by dark fruits and spices.
It feels medium-bodied on the palate and the level of carbonation lends some smoothness. It doesn't feel quite as strong compared to other dubbels.
