Description A fruity, spicy, mocha flavoured classic. 11.3% 33cl Trappist beers are strong, top fermented and bottle conditioned. The Trappist name itself is restricted by law to a handful of breweries, of which Rochefort is one. Smells of coffee and English toffee... With loads of dark fruits- figs, plums, and dates. The taste hits all these notes, and adds a nice toasted nuttiness, maybe almond, towards the finish. There is also a great Belgian candy sugar sweetness. This coats your teeth with a thickness that isn't really representative of the thickness of the body. The body seems thinner than the finish suggests.
