When it comes to brewing the Germans have it just right, Bavarian purity laws of 1516 (the Reinheitsgebot) the basis of modern legislation for the whole of Germany prevent beer being made with any additional ingredients that are not water, hops, malt, yeast and often but not always wheat.

For this reason Germany is considered a quality brewing nation, it also has the worlds oldest active brewery (see bottled beers).

Warsteiner pilsner is 'the queen of beers' an Germany's biggest selling beer. It hails from the Rhineland in South West Germany, an area rich in wine and bottom fermented golden pilsners. Warsteiner is a delicate crisp lager beer with a malty sweetness and dry finish.
